ATTN: Dudes who are too scared to try new maps.
Re: ATTN: Dudes who are too scared to try new maps.
cargo farse is an absolute bollocks map, without a decent way (but easily defendable) of completing the second objective then it just gets shittier. The only reason I play korribad and cargo farse is because that's like 50% of the gametype.
Why anyone would want to remove something that makes a shitty map quicker and less shitty is beyond me, especially when the person who talks about it doesn't pug and has probably never had the displeasure of enduring 40 minutes of cargo.
Also, tensor pretty much summed up that thread, and I barely expressed an opinion on it so you can't yews it against me at all.

How many dudes have played Jhoth?
I finally got around to it the other day and it's pretty fucking bad-ass.
We should pug that a few times and see how it goes.

Remember that jhoth uses cargo classes, so it won't conflict with anything. It will overwrite the cargo models/skins though.

Have you considered: fuck off?A nub is In Ur Forum wrote:Thank you for summarizing your position and maturity level on the overarching issue there in four words.Laser wrote:korribad and cargo farse
I could yews a good laugh, so let me ask you something: Do you really believe that?Laser wrote:doesn't pug and has probably never had the displeasure of enduring 40 minutes of cargo.
I don't recall needing to 'yews' that thread 'against' anyone here. I did yews it to illustrate a point of comparison, and some people apparently actually got that. Have you considered that perhaps you are viewing the entire issue the wrong way due to your pre-disposition?Laser wrote:I barely expressed an opinion on it so you can't yews it against me at all.

Listen dudes...
Just because you can't defend/attack an objective well doesn't mean the map is bad.
Maybe UR?
Anyway, it's a team effort and I think maps like cargo/h3h/nar actually test the teamwork even more than base maps do.
Actually, korri/des/h3h/nar/cargo require the most teamwork...especially with smaller numbers just because of the size of them....
No major midget funnels/lots of space and/or obj very close.
On cargo, obj 1,2, & 6 can be tough...but that's the point.
Thing is....it's always even for both teams. :/
At 1...you have to kill someone....O or D, whoever kills gets the obj.
2 is actually fairly easy on offense with wooktrick if you have a wook that knows what he's doing and defense isn't able to spam rockets or detpacks. (read as: good jan/lando)
3,4, and 5 are quite easy if you can kill and are smart.
the last obj isn't really that hard...
Turn on turrets and try to max dudes (as usual) and you're home-free.
If each other person on offense can kill one dude for at least a half-max, a reborn boss-carrier should be able to beat anyone 1v1 with full health/force.....except for maybe an exceptional lando or a spamming chewie.
We should do some cargo/jhoth pugs where we yews the same teams and pug both maps and see what happens.

Re: ATTN: Dudes who are too scared to try new maps.
Being just as bad for both teams doesn't make it a good map, it's just that if the offence team actually completes the whole map, they have quite a high chance of winning, and cargo isn't very exciting in a 20 hold after blitzing the first 5 objectives in as many minutes.
Also, not having a pointwhore who will actually play reborn boss on 2nd makes it a decently defendable objective, and requires more teamwork because the offence needs a jan to either kill the jan or make one of the wook's bolts kill it.
