You don't need a mod to do toggleable wallhacks, XYvel, autoshoot, or a lot of other things - including a full-on aimbot if you put enough effort into it. All you need is some rather specific knowledge in a number of fields usually including machine code, which, thankfully, almost no one in this community has. Also, sv_pure does absolutely nothing about that style of hacking. Granted, making a dll that had both toggleable wallhacks and XYvel would probably be less than 100 lines of new/modified code, too. And while the people that'd yews them much in this particular community generally can't make them, it only takes one leak or some luck and googling to get hold of something you don't understand how to make but can yews anyways. Tired of seeing people who don't know the techniques bicker about what is/isn't possible in JKA. Short of an extremely good PunkBuster-type service, the only vaguely useful proof is personal integrity - or on the flip-side, catching someone red-handed.

Yeah, thing is, people that'd go around actually abusing them most of the time generally aren't as good at coding since all they care about is being able to cheat at the video game. So I wanted to be conservative. Noob coders taking 5-10x as many lines to do simple things is not really uncommon.

Would you like to guess why? No, really, please do. Come to think of it, I suppose it's entirely possible I've ruined Duo's fun indirectly without even knowing about it before... depending on how many games he tries to abuse.
