I disagree. Windows 7 is BLAZING fast. I haven't noticed any of the old hang time I had in XP. Maybe that's just because I was needing a reformat or something, I don't know, but I'm definitely not regretting the upgrade in any way, shape, or form.

I've never had any speed problems with XP on my PC, and I have W7 on my laptop.
Both are good, I'm not dissing 7 at all or anything. I just don't think it's so significantly better you need to go out and buy it straight away, you might as well wait until you buy a new computer. (Or until you can get a bargain on it anyway, my brother got it for me for $20 through his college.)

That's actually a good point, I can't think of any features on Windows 7 over XP that really make it something you need to upgrade right away to.
It does run at a comparable speed to XP though. I daresay it runs faster than XP did on my desktop (with really nice specs).

It runs, hands down, faster than XP in every single aspect for me. Noticeably faster. I'm not talking I got some benchmarking program and am counting milliseconds here, I am talking it loads everything in a mere fraction of the time.
Buying Windows 7 for 100$ sure as shit beats buying expensive hardware upgrades to get the same effect.

I've got a copy of Win7 ultimate AIO or something....guess I should actually try it, but I'm too lazy/apprehensive to put it on my own machine.

Home premium for me too, it is a lot more responsive and I'd say it's worth getting.
