Well in theory the clone wars ships were republic property and design. Then the empire took over the republic, making all of its property the empires. Thus why the ships look the same. As far as why the empire ships in this game look like clone wars republic ships i cannot tell you, maybe the game designers wanted instant recognition.

Yea the Old Republic sith ships are what don't make as much sense. Could be that George Lucas chose to overlook that when he directed episodes 2 and 3, it was pretty common for him to disregard some of the fan-based canon of Star Wars.

The hud is actually one of the better MMO default huds I've seen. The only one comparable is the Guildwars hud, which was quite good if you spent the time configuring it.

My UI does ahve a lot of abilities I never yews, Depending on your advanced class/ spec some of the abilities that both sides get are useless.

p.s. - Trk, Guard, and I have been playing this game on Dark Reaper as Sith. Supposedly Raptor does too, but I have yet to see him.
