I'd have loved to have seen a Player Ranking at siege's peak, with every player like Veers, Kathor, Elk, Beeps, Darkfire, MajorMajor, Dadeus, etc ranked. That'd have been sick.

These are good lists....keep it up.
On a semi-related note...wasn't Aries making a siege map with all of our approximate locations?

If everyone makes a ranking, I'd be glad to go through and average everyone's rank and make a master list. From there we could debate about moving people up/down until we finalize something. And then we could work on some form of a challenge system to move up the ladder. Just my thinking out loud, but this seems like a fun way to improve skill across the board, and better skill = better pugs.

Here's what I was thinking:
I took the four lists that were taken so far, and assigned each rank a points value, 1st=1, 2nd=2, 3rd=3, etc.
Then I went through every list and got each player's points value and added them together, ie: Tensor was first on all four lists, and thus got four points.
I did this for every player across all four lists. If a player was missing from any list I took their 1/2/3 scores they
did have, and found the average and added it to take the place of the missing rankings.
The lower your points number, the higher your rank.
Tiers were added purely for style points, and because 37 players was easily divisible.
ELITE TIER:
#1. Tensor (4)
#2. Jkb (8)
#3. Guard (14)
#4. Jawa (18)
#5. Wuf (19)
#6. Duo (22)
#7. Kera (25)
#8. Saberdude (28)
#9. Roflraptor (36)
GOOD TIER:
#10. Yo (37)
#11. Archi (40)
#12. Turk (40)
#13. Fusion (40)
#14. Vail (42)
#15. Ghoul (44)
#16. Pipe (47)
#17. Laser (56)
#18. Lorax (59)
#19. VDS (64)
DECENT TIER:
#20. Tema (64)
#21. Magyk (67)
#22. Fool (67)
#23. Sith (68)
#24. Jerk (72)
#25. Cyclosarin (72)
#26. Sonic (73)
#27. Afro (80)
#28. Katy (83)
#29. Phoenix (84)
PASSABLE TIER:
#30. Cow (90)
#31. What_console (95)
#32. Kane (96)
#33. MR. KILL (100)
#34. General Garm (106)
#35. Mike (108)
#36. Blackout (120)
#37. Delta (138)
Obviously the more rankings/opinions we have the bigger the sample size. And the bigger the sample size
the more accurate the rankings.
I'm
really excited about putting together a universal siege ranking. I think it's an awesome idea to inject some life into this community.
comments/critiques/suggestions welcome.
Edit: And a perfect example of why this is awesome: I'm already super poised to get back in the game as soon as my collar bone heals, and to try to learn and gain the skill to move up those two spots to get from the Decent Tier to the Good Tier. If people are motivated to keep moving up, they'll get better. And like I said before, more skillful players = better pugs.

Fusion is actually pretty badass.
Why does he not come here? Someone get him, please.
Tensor...give a list at least oh mighty one to whom we've offered a bounty of #1 rankings.

I would just like to point out that by my system, Tensor is approximately 16.75 times better at siege than me. He's 34.8 times better than Delta. I find both of these to be hilarious statistics.
Another fun statistic, when you think about it, is that even
the worst of the "regular puggers" are probably in the top 50 JKA siegers in NA/theworld?
Even with my not so good siege skills, I'm apparently #21 in North America+Others for a video game, and that's kind of fun to think about.
