Realistically, I'd *love* to have one of these babies;
Just an 18 foot metal death trap, a giant party barge.

(Of course, unrealistically I'd love to have a 67 GT500, who wouldn't? Heck, I'd love to have any Shelby edition vehicle.)

It's a shame classic cars are such an expensive hobby to get into, I looked long and hard through old Plymouths and AMCs, but everything I found was either a tad bit out of my price ranger, or totally trashed. (There were a few nice Dusters i'd of loved to have gotten.) Eventually I settled on an '85 Chrystler LeBaron Convertible, it isn't much, but it's a good first car, and a decent first foray into classic cars.

(I had Maaco paint mine Lemon Twist yellow just last month though, the color they put on '71 Barracudas)

Any convertible is sweet and usually pretty rare.

I'm not sure I've ever seen one of those in person.

As for the Duster...my GFs dad has a sweet one and it's his pride and joy. :)

Maybe I can get some pics of it and find my old roadrunner pics.

Probably start a new thread too...lol, sorry, Dadeus.

Rofl, you people are retarded.

Litterally the only two things Euro cars do better are:
A.) They offer more luxury, cushy, unnecessary items that weight down the car. (Which by the way, all the unnecessary shit? Makes Euro cars twice as expensive for no good reason.)
B.) They're geared lower so they're faster off the line, but as a result the top end in an euro car is absolute shit.

I'll take a giant wheel spinning, ear splitting, thunder making Big Block V8 with straight headers out the back over one of those shitty little rice burning turbo charged 4Bangers that are put into Euro cars any day of the week.

It can actually be just the opposite. The BMW my dad used to drive had all kinds of decked-out features (everything BUT a good amount of cupholders), but that was apparently the US model and the European models were actually more cut and dry, because they don't always have needs for such "cushy" things.

There are probably exceptions, sure. But more often than not that won't be true.

A base model VW Jetta in the US is about $17,000. The German base model costs about $30,000 give or take.
Mechanically, they're the same vehicle. =\
