USA is way tooo much egocentric.
Best example is they name it as ''America'', as if they were the entire continent....
If it came to that term, I as well as Piipe are Americans too

LOL the French. Every fiction war/violence/whatever writer hates the French.Eh, every country has things it has done that they are not proud of. America isn't perfect, but neither is any other country. Especially not the French LOL

Tbh, most of us are just play the part of the rest of the world's image of us. It's like, lots of people from all over the world picture us as loose-cannon, full-of-ourselves, best-in-the-world jackasses - so why wouldn't we play the part? We think it's hilarious. The longer the rest of the world wants to keep picturing us as Clint Eastwoods and John Waynes the better. I get great enjoyment from acting out the stereotype.Silver Absolution wrote:USA is way tooo much egocentric.
Saying we're egocentric would also imply that we have little regard for others, which isn't true. Let's suppose you wake up tomorrow and a severe earthquake has struck Argentina? You better believe that the first country on-site to provide outside help will be Big Brother USA.

No, I'm pretty sure most Americans really do believe in "guns fuck yeah america #1 freedom woo woo we're the best in the world at everything fuck yeah."Magyk wrote:Tbh, most of us are just play the part of the rest of the world's image of us. Our youths are starting to shy away from it a bit (but that attitude is still quite prevalent, don't be fooled), but the amount of ignorance in some of the older generations is disgusting.
Hi. I'm angry on the internet.

Yeah, it's really too bad that youths are shying away from it tbh. Not because we need to be "guns fuck yeah america #1 freedom woo woo we're the best in the world at everything fuck yeah." but because we're lacking the self pride that made us great in the first place. We're replaced self pride with apology tours.

Taking into account that relationships betwen USA and Argentina are pretty bad, I'd doubt it. And anyway, If USA helped, it would be only for us to have another debt with them again. It always has been that way.Magyk wrote:Let's suppose you wake up tomorrow and a severe earthquake has struck Argentina? Still, not going to like a country that approved and backed the last coup d'etat and dictatorship in Argentina.

I don't think pride makes anything great, in all honesty. America might be pretty great, I mean I love freedom, living in a first world country, and not having to go day to day with any real and immediate threat of danger that's prevalent in other parts of the world, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement. There's a lot of room in pretty much every facet.Magyk wrote:Yeah, it's really too bad that youths are shying away from it tbh. You can never consider yourself great, the greatest, the best, or perfect. Complacency is dangerous. You can never become satisfied, you always need to strive for improvement. That's what made America great in the first place, we always pushed ourselves as a people to improve.
