He's improving. And, in fact, he would appear to have more knowledge of this kind of an issue than most 16 year olds I know, so that's something at least.

I think its funny that he wants to suspend people's rights. His game name matches his RL personality.

Yeah, that's really stupid. But I think he's got at least somewhat of a point with what he's saying about Double Jeopardy. I mean, I'm sure there are select scenarios where it's a good thing to have - but let's say they find new evidence that basically nails Casey Anthony, it seems really awful that they can't retry her on any of the charges they had before and have to look for a new reason to lock her sorry ass up.

Actually, the only good thing about Double Jeopardy that I can come up with off the top of my head is that if you're way behind, you can make up some serious money on those daily doubles. (Insert rimshot here.)

I don't know where to begin with Ceasar either, honestly. I thought that sort of thing was way beyond him. Might havta rethink that.

But yes, the idea of if you've been tried innocent, and new evidence is presented but you can't be recharged is pretty stupid.

Now another thing is, what does killing the perpetrator really achieve? It's not like it brings the victim back to life. It's like an easy way out of suffering for a lifetime in jail. What's the actual point in it, other than avengement?

Yes, I think having a horrible time in prison and doing work for the community is a decent alternative to getting the death penalty.

Religion has nothing to do with it. Republicans are considered religious and conservative in the US, and they are the ones that back the death penalty.
