Sweet. It looks like the WINE software "PlayOnMac" explicitly supports JKA! So, I can yews the Windows installation natively on Mac.

We're in business, baby! I got it to work tonight, did some testing on single player, seemed to work well.
So, I have a couple questions: Can anyone give me tips on optimal settings for video/audio/game settings? And similarly, can anyone share tips on configuring game controls? Good layouts, etc.?

Congrats!!!
As far as video settings go...I'd say your video card won't do much, but play with the settings and see what you like as far as quality/smoothness.
Set your voice sounds to Francais.
Controls are up to you....learn to yews CFGs.
CFGs are just TXT files you can you to set whatever settings you can type in the console.

I yews mouse wheel up/down to cycle through force powers, and it works wonders for me. I only bind push.
If you are running onboard gfx, just yews lowest settings for everything.
My most important binds:
/kill -> H
Air Support Voice Chat -> B
