i think tens is just having fun trolling with the customs thing cuz he knows it's annoying to some dudes, not to actually improve the quality of custom maps. i don't claim to know him, but i doubt that he actually has any beef with any decent custom map which is why I think he's never cared to elaborate. i've just come to accept it; it would be nice if the number of troll posts were cut down a bit though.

(edited cuz the original post didn't make much sense.)

I actually tried to make the base maps better. No one wanted to try anything new...

I had a way to get rid of spam for good :)

That's the problem. Many people are very afraid of anything (or anyone, for that matter) that is different than what they percieve as normal. Trust me.

I bet if Guard changed up the classes on Impulse (not Anub-style though), dudes would still play there since that's our pug server. But since most players are super scared of change, he's too scared to lose his server leverage, so he keeps it as is.

Of course I'm talking about reasonable changes, not fucking up class balance by giving reborn boss pistols and jan batons (still mad about that!).

Yep. Pretty much.

Until an overwhelming majority of the pug population comes to me and asks for a change on Impulse, it will stay as is. Just how the vast majority of pubbers liked the pistols/stun batons, so I added them back after nub rage-revoked them.
