is this just a regular shield on the bridge?
if so, why can't it be shot at close range pls explain.

No it's not a regular shield. You have to see it to understand I'm afraid. Ask tensor or any other veteran to show it to you someday.

It's a shield under the bridge that blocks the ATST from crossing but you can shoot over it or if the turret is still up it still can shoot the ATST

BFA stole my shield and tried to name it BFA shield. But they failed at doing it.
