I tried MB2 once with Gabe and did not enjoy it.

Re: Introducing Myself =)
Wow, that MB2 mod looks effin' sweet. I'll definitely have to give that a shot. Thanks for the warm welcome, I can't wait to find a freaggin' game client that'll work on OS X.
That's cool that there's still a bit of diversity. Back in the day, I liked playing saber-only FFA matches, both with force and no force. However, that's only because back in the day, I never knew about or played siege maps for some reason. I remember once playing a siege game somewhere sometime, and it was so amazing that the memory never left me. That's cool that people play with full weapons, I think that'd be much more interesting that saber-only.
This is making me very excited to play. It seems that I definitely won't be able to find a native OS X client, so I'll have to yews WINE or Crossover software to play the Windows client in Mac. The only worry I have is how well I'll be able to patch/update/mod the game client using this type of solution. I'll have to do more research.
Thanks again for the welcome! You guys have a great community here, I'm excited to have found you guys, and looking forward to joining properly in-game!

guard killing siege recommending people to play mb2 instead siege

Re: Introducing Myself =)
I don't think patching will be your biggest problem. If you can get 1.0 working, I think you're all done. I wouldn't know, though, I'm just guessing.

I guess I meant more like whether I'd have trouble modding: ESM (j3rk's mod), the MB2 mod, that kind of stuff. It may or may not work the same with OS X as it does with Windows.
j3rk, is your mod made exclusively for Windows?
I just put one of my D&D books up for sale on Craigslist, to just get the cash to buy a native OS X copy from Aspyr. =P

Again, I think it'll make no problem.
As far as I've understood, the mod is just extra .pk3 files(s), which should make any problem if you run a windows client already.
Once again I'm talking jan stuff which is actually not my area. I'd like to hear someone with any knowledge on this area put in his two cents.

Only thing I can think of is that I believe MB2 had an installer....but you can get just the archive.

It looks like from the MB2 website that it works for Windows, Mac, and Linux!
