Ordinarily I wouldn't really give a shit, but I was mildly surprised that someone would go so far out of their way to eliminate any mention of my name whatsoever. So I posted a brief 1 sentence comment saying something like "what's with removing my name from all these tutorials and pasting them here, not cool." Out of curiosity I logged onto his site again today and found out that not only had he deleted my thread to get rid of any evidence, but had sent me 2 angry PMs informing me in great detail that life isn't fair, that people steal things on the internet, and that I shouldn't care about my image so much. Then later he had sent a second message saying that he looked over the jkasiege privacy policy and determined that it was in the public domain and that I had no copyright on them. Apparently great works of literature like "how to bind +yews" are worth this much effort to plagiarize. Oh and on a side note, I had previously compiled a classbinds .zip for his site as a personal favor to him.

What a faggot.
Totally agree. It seems like the type of community that would thrive only because of the contribution of its members too. Nice way to shoot themselves in the foot.

Life sucks. Then you die. It's how you deal with it that matters. In this case, try the more kind route of asking why he removed your name. If that doesn't work, try kicking some ass. If that still doesn't work, pull a nub as a last resort.

Yea, I get what you mean. Would've been easier to just attach your name to those posts than look up all that legal shit about why they don't have to sanction your intellectual material.

Dudes try reeeeeeally hard for the e-coolness factor.

I mean, why wouldn't you want to be known for having the ability to point out obvious shit to idiots on the internet?

It's what we all strive for.
