Does strafe jumping exist in siege?/Yaw'ing

Was reading and I see vids sometimes. Does it exist? All I do is bunny hop...

There are several ways to extend jumping in JA or JK2...

One of them is doing a backflip just as you jump for some odd reason.

The one I think you're talking about is to quickly press the left and right strafe keys as you're jumping.

Strafe jumping is actually really fun when you get good at it, but no, it doesn't exist in siege because of the different speeds of classes.

You can strafejump in siege with Eyenmod. It's buggy though.

You can maintain momentum by repeatedly hopping though. Like if you jump down onto a slanted surface, you will gain some speed, which you can conserve by hitting jump over and over. It's the same way e11/disruptor boosting works. Once on Cargo 1st obj I only had a few seconds to get the obj as a wookiee, everyone was dead, and I was at full, so I rocketed the ground to gain a small speed boost, then hopped toward the obj to get there a little faster than if I hadn't.

Yeah, with enough HP as demo you can get a really good speed boost using dets.

Well, like I said...

If you yews the left/right strafe buttons, you gain extra distance on jumps....but you don't really seem to gain speed.

True strafe jumping will net you lots of distance, and lots speed though. Which you just can't do in vanilla siege.
