Re: "Some pretty expirimental shit"
Getting tired of G11? Is there a particular reason?
Looks like the G510 (latest G series) has spacebar issues... probably best to avoid.
Of course there's Razers but turky found their mice to be cheaply made and not last long.
I've been pretty happy with my Saitek Eclipse. It doesn't have the extra features of the Logitech series but it is backlit. Mine has been working fine for 6 years. I haven't observed any ghosting issues; I think it's on the standard 125Hz report rate, though imo that matters a little more for mice.
It's still available on the market but apparently they changed the name to Cyborg V5 (?). Eclipse II is nice if you like purple LEDs (red/blue/both).

Agree with both of the above statements. I've probably gone through 4 or 5 Razer mice in 6 years, my Eclipse (which I bought upon your suggestion!) is still feeling quite sturdy. The only difference I really notice between it now and the day I bought it is some of the paint has peeled off of C and left hand CTRL and Alt keys.Maximus wrote:Getting tired of G11? I don't see the point in keyboard features. I'd almost say I don't see the point in an expensive keyboard period - but being as this one has lasted longer than numerous 15-20$ keyboards would have, it's actually more cost effective. Keyboard features won't really improve your gameplay by much.
Razer Mice fucking blow, by the way, and the only reason I still yews one is because when my last one died I didn't have any money in my paypal to order a new one online and Razer is all that the local Bestbuy sells for gaming mice. The Drivers have NEVER worked for me. Ever. And they generally tend to either die or have some feature failure after less than a year. This one's been having scroll wheel issues off and on since pretty close to the purchase date.
Hi. I'm angry on the internet.

Yea, the scroll wheel is poorly constructed and the bridge kept snapping. I went through one Diamondback and two Copperheads (got the second replaced by Razer) in the span of 3 years. That's a mouse per year, not cool. I'm not sure how the other Razer models might differ, but I wasn't about to gamble on any of them.Maximus wrote:Of course there's Razers but turky found their mice to be cheaply made and not last long.
@ kra: I got my Logitech G500 at Best Buy for cheaper than newegg sold it. Maybe there's a way you could do a store pickup? Walmart will do it for sure (for $68).

Re: "Some pretty expirimental shit"
I have a razer habu (a mix between razer and microsoft), have had it for about 2 years and it's still working fine. Could just be the exception, but none of my razer products have broken yet.

I bought my mum a razer mouse about three years ago. She still has it.
