If every one were perfect sieger, it would all end up being a little boring, don't ya think?

Well, if there are as many newbs as waflz says there is (where I'm included as well), shouldn't we be doing some kind of training matches, or something?
Like, 2 rookies teams leaded by a veteran sieger?

Dunno, I just thinked about it...

That sounds like PUGs. ;)

Better yet, we could yews a few minutes now and then go to over important aspects of he game. Example: how to drive the at-st so you get the bridge in time... I'm nowhere near as good as many others who play or have played this game, but I do know some things about the game.

I KNOW
What I meant, is that these matche be made EXCLUSIVELY for training, and not having rookies being uber-pwned in the middle of it

No, that's the funny part. Everyone wants to bitch about how bad the newer players are, and no one wants to teach them things. Players like myself are admittedly only pretty decent at the game, and can only show them so much. That's part of the reason I miss Duo - while he wasn't very level-headed, and had a tendency to rage, at least he attempted to improve the overall quality of the games being played by teaching newer members things.

Well, that's exactly what I'm offering. I don't know how much new I can bring to 'practice' but I'd be willing to give it a shot.

It's extremely difficult to do situational training because you're rarely going to be in the same situation twice. It's not something I was ever really 'taught', I just picked it up by playing against the good players and mimicking what they would do and trying to understand WHY they did it. And 2 rookies+ 1 good player = a 1 v 1 with whoever's teammates are less shitty.

Part of being good at any game is learning from your mistakes and thinking critically about what you could do to improve your play or improve any aspect of your game.

Hey, I get your point.
But not everyone is capable of learning by themselves. Sometimes they need somebody to come up and teach 'em a little.

That kind of match is intended to teach those rookies the strategy and key points of the map, even learning some skills and tricks from the veterans. Going at a slow pace per obj, so everyone gets it right.
Otherwise, just showing a guy the map in spec mode once doesn't fully helps. (ie: My last play on server they were running p_D. Xeon showed me the map on spec mode, with all possible alt routes. On offense, I did somewhat good enough (Got 1st obj as reborn boss in one try, yay. teshed the rest). On defense, I failed it (both shielding fails on tanks and elevator :? ). Should I had watched Xeon doing Defense instead of Offense, it may have gone the other way around

That was my first time playing p_D and got 3kpm both O and D. You're either able to be a competent player who is able to analyze and improve, or you're not. It's what seperates the masses from the good players.
